This past year in Ireland we have witnessed a steep rise in homophobic and transphobic attacks, a blaze of explicitly anti-transgender rhetoric in the media, and young people are still facing homophobic and transphobic bullying - the impacts can last a lifetime.
We are asking for your help, to be able to meet the demand for our work in schools and youth groups across Ireland.
ShoutOut’s workshops directly tackle harmful attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community and address misinformation surrounding LGBTQ+ identities, instilling empathy and understanding with young people; young people who are at the heart of Irish society, who have the power to build a safer future free from violence, homophobia, and transphobia.
Your donation will cover:
€5 sends an educational resource pack to one school
€20 prints and posts LGBTQ+ inclusion posters for one school
€50 lets us design an inclusive lesson plan with a teacher
€100 sends a team of volunteers to a school in an urban centre
€150 sends a team of volunteers to a rural school
€250 covers the cost of training 20 new volunteers
€500 trains the teachers, parent and guardians of a school community and provides follow up support
